Day by day, the ridiculous government policies that are coming up make me wonder as to where my country is headed. Increased FDI, 1 Rupee Rice and more crap are just aimed at short term gains and long term losses to both economy and the workforce.
If you give away a kilogram of rice for a penny to the poor (that’s over a half of 130 million population), what do you think would happen to the other half? They’ll definitely be paying more for their hunger. That aside, who would go to work if a coin one could pick up from the trash would feed him for a day? The poor will remain poor (the number would increase, in fact) and the middle class would continue struggling in the heat of inflation, as it would fight for its survival.
“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
The governments are happy, because as long as the poor and the illiterates are in number, their corrupt reign would again and again be voted back to power. (Most literates choose not to vote and that’s another sad story.) With the food security bill passed, India will eventually be importing food grains, which again will hurt the Rupee already in agony.
It is our ignorance that backs these morons to continue to take advantage of us. So, instead of just complaining about how bad our governments are, let’s act.
Let’s vote. What’s our concern? Sab chor hai?
I’m sure we can find the least corrupt if not the incorruptible.
